When is it an emergency?

There are many times that a clogged drain becomes an emergency.

Here is our top 3:

What can I do until ODC arrives?

There is a lot you can do when a drain gets clogged.

Here are some tips:

  • Find out what raises the water

  • Check to see if using one drain raises water in another

  • Identify the drains that do work

  • RELAX, ODC is on the way!

Don't worry, when we arrive on site we will double check everything ourselves using our official diagnostics checklist.

What are the benefits?

Drains get build up from years of oils and dirt hardening when they dry. You might start with 2 inch diameter drains however, after a few years that drain can close up to half the size or even worse!

With all that build up, it now takes much less to get into trouble. Don't wait until you get a clog. Have ODC professionally clean your drains and save yourself from the stress and headache of a drain failure.

Our knowledgeable drain experts can help identify high risk points of your home's drainage system. We are fully equipped and ready to perform the recommended maintenance we suggest at every call.

*Drain fact: That same build up can cause a foul smell in drains that are not often used, particularly basement floor drains or heavily used kitchen sinks.

What maintenance can I do myself?

Preventative maintenance starts with easy steps that you can take yourself at home.

This is where you can start:

  • Use strainers with a fine mesh (not big holes)

  • Careful what you drain: fats, oils and hair can cause problems

  • If you do dump something you are not sure of, flush and rinse with hot running water

  • If you have a drain in your home that is not used often, running water through it regularly will help keep it clean and smell free

Although these are great practices to keep your drains clean they cannot undo anything already built up - that's when we come in!
